Albany Farmers' Market
The Great Southern Farmers Market Albany Incorporated is a not for profit membership based organisation which runs and manages the weekly Albany Farmers Market.
The philosophy is to provide producers in the Great Southern Region of Western Australia with a regular weekly direct outlet for their product.
This area is rich in its diversity of farming, but, prior to the market, the majority of product was marketed through Perth (409kms away to the North). Local customers were unable to source direct much of the produce produced in the area.
The establishment of the market on a weekly basis provides producers with a direct outlet for the product and the customer has the choice of fresh, local, seasonal product. This has brought about immense benefits for the producer and customer. No longer is product trucked great distances at great expense, as well as incurring environmental pollution and packaging expenses. Product does not have to have to be picked early to ensure an extended shelf life. For example, tomatoes and strawberries are left longer to "vine-ripen" and are picked and sold at their peak of condition to the consumer. This applies to all product in the market and this has been a key factor in the enthusiasm that the community has embraced the market.
The weekly market is now a colourful and vibrant occasion attracting a wide range of customers from the region.. Its benefits have been to re-energise and focus producers on the quality and variety of their product. The customers not only now enjoy a huge range of vegetables, fruits, farmed meats, seafood and much more each week. They know its provenance and have returned to the seasonality of farming. Genuine excitement fills the market when the first of a new season product appears such as Asparagus, Avocados, Raspberries or Cherries.
Every week the market creates its own synergy between producers and customers. It buzzes with laden shoppers, bags and shopping trolleys rescued from the back of the shed and now put into service again. It is a social event for many, the catching up, the chatter and genuine good nature is evident all morning. It is an uplifting community experience, brought about by the simple sharing of being able to choose first class fresh food. Customers now talk with pride and ownership about "their market" and promote its value to friends and visitors. The ultimate accolade!

Perth Makers Market
Perth Makers Market is a new market South of the Swan River that makes it's home at Heathcote Cultural Precinct in Applecross.
The goal of Perth Makers Market is to provide a platform for the talented, high quality handmade crafters that call Perth their home in a family focussed, friendly location. With strong ties to the community and a focus on giving back, Perth Makers Market is unique.
Perth Makers Market's founder and event manager often found that as a hand-crafter herself it was not only difficult to break into the market scene, but that certain markets within the Perth area no longer cater to the exclusively handmade. What makes Perth Makers Market so great is that you will never find something at one of our stalls that wasn't made right here in our great state of Western Australia. Not only that, but we are actively assisting both new and emerging artists, as well as talented school students in breaking into the handmade marketplace.
Fall in love with the unique pieces that are passionately and individually hand-crafted in an idyllic location while your kids play on the playground. While you're here why not stop for lunch at the Bluewater Grill or take a look at the on-site gallery? Come wander the stalls, grab a coffee and take in all that the Perth handmade community has to offer.

Growers' Green Farmers' Market
Growers Green was created to provide a genuine alternative to the supermarket shopping experience. It's a place where you can meet and talk directly to the people who are growing and making your food! Our stall holders are passionate about their produce. Fresh, local and grower-direct fruit and veg is available each week, along with bread, organic beef, fish, local honey, eggs and olive oil, baked goods, herbs, jams, plants, fresh flowers, organic dog food and more. The first Sunday of every month is 'Big Market' day at Growers Green, with stalls selling vintage, handmade and pre-loved clothing, books, jewellery, craft, gifts and accessories. The markets are run by the South Fremantle Senior High School P&C. As well as providing an outlet for growers and makers, and a fun, shared shopping experience for the community, much-needed funds are raised to improve student amenities at the school. The market also supports the school's multi-award winning sustainability programs. Funds go towards the Green Room used for growing veges for planting out in the school's permaculture kitchen garden and raising native seedlings for bush regeneration projects. Over the past six years SFSHS students have planted over 40,000 trees throughout the wheatbelt and across WA. SFSHS has it's own dedicated Carbon Neutral Officer and student run Green Action Team and in 2011 became the first accredited carbon neutral school in Australia.

Gascoyne Growers Market
Every Saturday morning from May to October the Carnarvon town centre comes alive with the Gascoyne Growers’ Markets. The market is a run by the growers themselves, who often pick their produce just the night before the market (sometimes even that very morning) to ensure you take home the freshest, tastiest produce in WA.
A visit to the markets makes it very clear why the Gascoyne has the well earned reputation of being the “salad bowl of WA”, with a surprisingly diverse range of fruit and vegetables, lush tropical fruits, eggs and seafood on offer. Fill your basket then grab a coffee and some breakfast, listen to the buskers, or browse through the adjacent Arts and Craft market. The Gascoyne Growers Markets are proudly plastic bag free, so please remember to BYO bag.

Chidlow Hall Market Day
The Chidlow Progress Association invites you come along to the Chidlow Hall Market Day, held the third Saturday of every month (except January and December). We have twilight markets February, March, November 4.00pm – 7.00pm. In the colder months April to October, they are held 9.00am – 1.00pm. The Chidlow Community saved their 101 year old “character” hall from demolition four years ago. It is the hall that was “Built by the community, for the community and then saved by the community for the community”. The market is a way of bringing the community together and introducing visitors to Chidlow. Our stall holders are all friendly, talented, hills people. There are various “Handmade with Love” quality craft stalls in the Old Hall and plants, jams, chutneys, fruit and organic veg outside. Only handmade products are allowed, no “import” stalls. Come up for a drive to the fresh air and leave all the city stress behind. Just a 10 minute drive past Mundaring. Make a day of it. Visit beautiful Lake Leschenaultia, have coffee or lunch at one of the business’ in the town or close by. It’s a little bit of country heaven hidden away up here. You’ll be back!

Perth Upmarkets
Perth Upmarket founder, Justine Barsley, moved to Perth back in 2006 and found that whilst there were hosts of creative people, they were hard to find. She found it difficult to find a regular high quality market to sell her own designs and from this evolved the concept of Perth Upmarket.
Perth Upmarket brings together over 150 of Perth’s talented artists, designers, stylists, craftspeople and gourmets all under one roof. The product mix is diverse ranging from handmade clothing, cupcakes, wall art, cards, homewares, jewellery to skin care products. The market allows Perth shoppers who appreciate the handmade to connect with the talented creators.
Established in 2008, Perth Upmarket quickly established itself as Perth’s premier quarterly market for handcrafted wares. Due its popularity, in 2010 Perth Upmarket moved from the Perth Town Hall to the beautiful, more spacious and more accessible Winthrop Hall which is part of the University of Western Australia. In addition to Upmarket’s regular quarterly event, the Perth Upmarket team also runs two Wedding Upmarkets each year and pop up events across Western Australia.

Fremantle Markets
Fresh Local Produce
There is a huge selection of local produce at Fremantle Markets, sourced from local growers. Our fruit and vegetables are fresh and healthy, with many organically grown, such as the ones sold from the popular Organically Grown Produce. Another popular fresh produce vendor is Long’s Fresh, which is a favourite with the locals, as well as winning the 2012 Best Weekend Market shop at the WA Fresh Produce Retailer of the Year Awards. There are many other fresh fruit and veggie sellers, as well as casual Farmers Market vendors. We also have our very own opera-singing fruit and veggie celebrity: Jack from Shun Yi, who has graced the Be Natural ad. So take your pick, you’re spoilt for choice here!
Always Surprising
Indigenous & Independent Products
One of the best things about Fremantle Markets is its dedication to promoting indigenous and independent art and products. The items sold by many of our vendors are original and created by local independent artisans, businesses and crafters. A good example of this is Wendy Binks’ Stunned Emu Designs.
Fremantle Markets is also keen to support ethically sourced indigenous art. For example, our trader, True Blue, sells authentic Aboriginal art, artefacts, boomerangs, didgeridoos and souvenirs by local and Western Australian aboriginal artists, with proceeds of sales going directly to the artists. And you should also come to watch Darren Button’s amazing demonstrations of authentic didgeridoos and the professional boomerang demonstrations at Spinback Boomerangs.
Music & Atmosphere
Fremantle Markets is a launching pad for many successful artists, and who knows, maybe you’ll get to hear the next John Butler on your next visit. Our buskers are legendary and provide one of the many atmospheric aspects that make the market so great. There is a unique feeling of liveliness and artistry within Fremantle Markets, aided by our diverse array of live music and performances. So grab a good coffee or beer, and enjoy!

Bunbury Farmers Market
Bunbury Farmers Market started selling locally grown fresh fruit & veg on Monday 16th June 2003. Back then the Farmers Market was on Forrest Avenue. We’ve relocated several times since then and our current premises are at 2 Vittoria Road in Bunbury (on the corner of the Australind Bypass & Vittoria Road). Although we’ve moved and grown over the years, our philosophy has remained the same – to provide our customers with Extreme Value & Extreme Freshness, Guaranteed! Here are a few other facts about your local Farmers Market you might not have known…
From field to fork in 2 days flat…
90% of the fresh fruit & veg you see at the Farmers’ Market was in the ground 2 days beforehand!
Where local means local…
Depending on the season, between 70% and 90% of our fresh produce comes from local growers – and by local we mean just down the road in WA.
Daring to do dairy differently…
All our milk has a minimum of 9 days until the use by date, or we don’t sell it, plain and simple! It’s just one of the many examples of how we deliver extreme value & extreme freshness!
Tasmanian flying fish…
No less than three times a week, every week, we have premium quality fresh salmon flown in direct from Tasmania – but be warned; once you’ve tried it there’s no going back!

Peel Farmers Market
************ WE BELIEVE THIS MARKET IS NO LONGER OPERATIONAL************ | BUY DIRECT, BUY FRESH, BUY WEEKLY! Locally produced food from the Peel and South West regions of Western Australia. The Peel Region, famously renowned for its spectacular waterways, is now growing in its reputation on the food scene -as Perth’s emerging food bowl – located just an hour’s drive south of the metropolitan area. Crystallising this concept is a group of regional farmers from across the Peel and Southwest who are working together to develop a regional Peel Farmers Market. Foodies, and families a like, will be able to have direct access to regional farmers selling and promoting their produce and value added products at the Market. Lex Langridge, the spokesperson for the Peel Farmers Market, said that the group wants consumers to experience a wide range of product freshly harvested and ready to sample straight from the grower. “Our Peel Farmers Market members will pick their produce the night before market,” Mr. Langridge said. “Quite a number of producers involved in the Market grow organically or chemical free.” “What you take home will be fresh, seasonal and full of flavour – with the added benefit of knowing the person or family that produced the food,” he said. Margaret River Farmers Market
The Margaret River Farmers’ Market has been a feature of the region for over 13 years. From humble beginnings the market has grown to be a Saturday morning fixture with up to 50 stalls. Only producers from the local Shires and surrounding south west are eligible to set up a stall, and the stalls are operated by the people who grow or make the produce. This makes the Margaret River Market one of only a few genuine Farmers’ Markets in the state.
The Farmers’ Market is a business incubator, with local producers testing new products and developing new enterprises from the opportunity created by its thriving, vibrant atmosphere. Each market features a breakfast bar run by a local charity, school or sporting organisation to raise funds for their cause.
In an environment where food supply in Australia is increasingly controlled by large supermarket chains, the market is an important alternative outlet for produce and an integral part of successful farmers’ businesses. Customers can connect with the producers of the food they eat, and feel confident that the produce has a low carbon footprint, supports local livelihoods, and helps to preserve the environmental integrity of the Margaret River Region.

Mt Claremont 6010
Mt Claremont Farmers Market
Trading time: 7.30am till 11.30am – all year including Easter (1 week Christmas / New year closure TBA)
Every Saturday morning, rain, hail …… or 40 degree temperature, we are open.
The vibe is relaxed yet energised and interactive, the sense of organised turmoil adds informality and humour. Customers are buying more than just an evening meal!
The Market
The Mt Claremont Farmers’ Market is an exciting initiative. Predominantly a fresh produce market operating every Saturday morning at the Mt Claremont Primary School, the market is a school community based project that provides an opportunity for farmers, food producers and chefs to sell farm-origin and associated gourmet food products directly to their customers.
Commencing trade in December 2007 with only eight stalls the Mt Claremont Farmers’ Market has certainly filled a niche market. It has enjoyed great success having grown rapidly with over 45 stalls consistently attracting crowds of over 2000 people on a weekly basis. Situated on the corner of Alfred Road and Montgomery Road, Mt Claremont Primary School is transformed into a thriving metropolis every Saturday.
Parking is available for over 350 cars for a voluntary gold coin donation to help maintain grounds, part proceeds are donated to charities and local community groups. The market is managed by volunteers from the school community, 100% of the markets net operating proceeds are directed towards enhancing Mt Claremont Primary Schools educational facilities. Check their website for information regarding the primary school.
Enjoy at the Market
The air at the markets is always filled with tempting aromas from hot food vendors. Enjoy espresso coffees, freshly squeezed juices, French pastries, sausage sizzles, crepes and bacon and eggs whilst grabbing your grower direct fruit and veggies (including potatoes via exclusive arrangement), fish, meats, poultry, breads and dairy products. There are also fantastic local olive oils and condiments to choose from.
The Buzz
The buzz surrounding the Mt Claremont Farmers’ Market is gaining more and more momentum! In 2009 the Mount Claremont Farmers’ Market was presented the Premiers Australia Day Active Citizenship Award by the City of Nedlands in recognition of the markets significant contribution in “providing fresh local produce and a meeting place for the local community to connect.” For many locals, attending the Market has become a “must do” on Saturday mornings.
The Reputation
Mt Claremont Farmers’ Market has built a solid reputation having been recognized in the Australian Gourmet Traveler magazine; The Food Lover’s Guide to Perth; both local and national newspapers. The Market is considered as one of the best in Australia with a host of top local chefs including Russel Blaikie, Clint Nolan, Matt Stone and Hadleigh Troy sourcing product for their restaurants on a regular basis.

Mundaring Sunday Markets
Conducted in Nichol Street, Mundaring, on the second Sunday of each month and open to the public between 9.00am and 2.00pm, the Mundaring Sunday Markets have proven popular with local folk, as well as people from outside the Shire, interested in what we have to offer and the many attractions that the Mundaring Shire has to offer.
The markets attract up to 100 stalls selling a wide range of arts and crafts, various food stalls, health products, honey, soaps, candles, books, plants and garden products, fruit and vegetables, pet products etc. Have a look at the stall advertisements on our main web page for an idea of some of the variety available.
Established in 2006, with the help and sponsorship of the Shire of Mundaring, the markets provide a focal point for the local community and also attract visitors to Mundaring from all over the metropolitan area and further afield. Many visitors come to our markets and then go onto the many attractions that the Shire has to offer. Details as to these varied attractions can be found at:
http://www.mundaringtourism.com.au/
Also the Shire of Mundaring has a useful web site that is well worth referring to for information, just go to:
http://www.mundaring.wa.gov.au/
TO BECOME A STALLHOLDER
The Mundaring Sunday Markets promote new products. People interested in booking a stall space at the market should first speak to the Market Administrator on the dedicated phone number 0428 460 179 to discuss the proposed stall before submitting an application form. The form provides all of the necessary information regarding the applicable fees, setting up and closing down times and other ‘house keeping’ details. The application form is available under 'Useful Links' in the menu to the left of this article.
The application form will need to scanned and emailed to the Market Administrator at the email address or it may be mailed to the Markets Administrator at the postal address given on the application form.
The success of the Mundaring Sunday Markets enables The Rotary Club of Mundaring Inc, to assist in funding many local community projects and individuals seeking support for worthwhile causes. It also supports national and international projects such as Shelterbox: a first response shelter initiative in disaster areas and Polio Plus: a successful attempt by Rotary to eradicate polio throughout the world. In the past three years the Rotary Club of Mundaring has disbursed over $150,000 to such local, national and international causes.
The markets also provide opportunities for local organisations to be present at the markets through an initiative of the local Community Bendigo Bank. The bank provides a tent and site for local organizations on a rotational basis. Contact the Mundaring Bendigo Bank for further information.
Stalls are also provided by the Rotary Club for local not for profit organisations at a reduced rate from time to time.
Co-events are encouraged on market days and by working with local business and organizations from the wider community many markets days are accompanied by interesting events that add interest and colour to the day. Keep an eye on our website for details and if you are interested in finding out more about these co-events, the Mundaring Sunday Markets themselves or if you are interested in finding out more about the Rotary Club of Mundaring (Inc) just click on the ‘Want to contact us’ link in our site homepage menu.

Kyilla Community Farmer's Market
Initiated by Kyilla Primary School's P&C Association in North Perth, the vision for a Farmers Market to operate at Kyilla was as much to do with a desire for fresh produce as it is a vision for bringing the community together. The market provides an opportunity for the school community to engage and support the local and broader community. It is a weekly event where local farmers can bring their fresh produce direct from the farm to the local community, effectively bringing produce from the “paddock to the plate”.
The aim of the Kyilla Community Farmers’ Market is to engage and strengthen community spirit.
The market provides the opportunity to;
walk down the street to do your weekly grocery shopping
talk to your neighbours over a cup of coffee prepared by a local barista
speak with the person who produced the food you will be taking home to eat
expose your family to the range of good seasonal produce locally available
support your local school, businesses and community
and eat fresh, local, affordable produce.

MiLi Markets and Events
MiLi Markets & Events began in July 2014 as Ladies Night Markets. Founded by Lisa and Michelle as a way to promote their own small businesses over the quiet winter market season. The first event was on July 25 in Currambine and was a ladies only event which was hugely successful and had ladies begging for more events. The remainder of 2014 saw 5 more Ladies Night markets and Ladies Night Market's following increase dramatically.
In 2015 it was decided to also run daytime markets for the entire family as well as continue the successful Ladies Night formula. Ladies Night Markets became MiLi Markets & Events to better reflect the new direction.
Event organisers are now approaching MiLi Markets to assist with the market and stall aspect of their events. MiLi Markets were asked to operate a market in conjunction with ECU Joondalup's Open Day, and ECU Joondalup's Lunchtime Markets as well. MiLi Markets are also operating a craft market in conjunction with the very popular Maylands Hawkers Market as part of their grand re-opening for the summer season on October 31.
MiLi Markets & Events has a large stallholder following due to our commitment to promoting each market heavily to get the shoppers through, solving any problems quickly on market day and being available for advice at any time.
MiLi Markets & Events are running more than 20 markets in 2015 and plan to grow further every year!

Farmers Market on Manning
Situated under towering pine trees, lush green grass and manicured rose beds, the community has embraced the relaxed, casual style of Saturday morning shopping.
The Market came about after the Market Manager and his family were discussing the number of hours spent on the weekends for over four years visiting various markets in search of fresh organic and conventional produce, grower direct.
The consensus was: wouldn’t it be fantastic if there was a grower direct one stop market South of the River.
A market:
• With natural shade from huge trees
• With soft green grass under foot with birds chirping away
• With heaps of free parking
• Where families can relax and form new friendships
• Easy to locate
And so the FARMERS MARKET ON MANNING was born.

Leederville Farmers Market
***THIS MARKET IS NO LONGER OPERATIONAL*** Leederville Farmers Market is committed in bringing fresh & healthy farm direct produce to you, our market customer, from our rural and semi rural districts within Western Australia. Our farmers and food artisans will bring their freshly picked, cooked and baked produce into the markets every week from their places of work so you can have the best of the best on your tables. How much more sensible can it get ? Shopping at the market also provides the opportunity for you to get to know the people who grow the food that you and your families and friends eat. It also allows you to know exactly how the food was grown and gives complete transparency as to its provenance. Our farmers market charter ensures that all goods sold on the market floor are grown or baked or caught or reared in Western Australia by our own farmers and food artisans.
MARKET DATES FOR 2016
Perth Makers Market will be running as a monthly market for 2016, on the first Sunday of the month, commencing in February. The markets opening hours are from 9:30am - 3:30pm.

The market provides the opportunity to;
walk down the street to do your weekly grocery shopping
talk to your neighbours over a cup of coffee prepared by a local barista
speak with the person who produced the food you will be taking home to eat
expose your family to the range of good seasonal produce locally available
support your local school, businesses and community
and eat fresh, local, affordable produce.
