Bunbury Farmers Market started selling locally grown fresh fruit & veg on Monday 16th June 2003. Back then the Farmers Market was on Forrest Avenue. We’ve relocated several times since then and our current premises are at 2 Vittoria Road in Bunbury (on the corner of the Australind Bypass & Vittoria Road). Although we’ve moved and grown over the years, our philosophy has remained the same – to provide our customers with Extreme Value & Extreme Freshness, Guaranteed! Here are a few other facts about your local Farmers Market you might not have known… From field to fork in 2 days flat… 90% of the fresh fruit & veg you see at the Farmers’ Market was in the ground 2 days beforehand! Where local means local… Depending on the season, between 70% and 90% of our fresh produce comes from local growers – and by local we mean just down the road in WA. Daring to do dairy differently… All our milk has a minimum of 9 days until the use by date, or we don’t sell it, plain and simple! It’s just one of the many examples of how we deliver extreme value & extreme freshness! Tasmanian flying fish… No less than three times a week, every week, we have premium quality fresh salmon flown in direct from Tasmania – but be warned; once you’ve tried it there’s no going back!
