The York Festival is a weekend Festival celebrating excellence in arts and culture and entertainment in historic York, Western Australia. The York Festival takes over the town and events will be in various locations including the Town Hall, old York Courthouse, Troopers Yard, Peace Park, the RSL and the Sandalwood Yards. York is an easy 1 hour drive east of the Perth CBD, off the Great Southern Highway. The York Festival Maker's Market is an opportunity for emerging makers and established artisans to showcase their work to thousands of visitors. Following on from the success of Kalamunda Farmers Market and the obvious success of other twilight markets around Perth, the support for a place where families can meet, shop, eat in a friendly traffic-free environment was overwhelming. The crowds have been huge and choice of food, arts crafts and luxury groceries has been amazing. The Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce operates the markets on a not for profit basis with the aim of promoting Kalamunda as a "destination" for the ultimate benefit of businesses in the area. With the closure of Haynes Street from 4:30pm and the spread of market stalls through the Central Mall, live music and street performers set a safe carnival atmosphere for young and old. Whilst dogs are permitted it does get very crowded and although we love dogs, are preference is that they be left at home. Over 100 stalls and shops - browse for hours and support local business. A fun night out for the family in the heart of Kalamunda. Hot food, craft, art, entertainment and activities for the children is on offer. To celebrate Mundaring Community Banks' 15th Birthday we are joining with the Mundaring Rotary Club and the Shire of Mundaring to host a huge Twilight Market. Lots of free entertainment, food trucks and market stalls.

In an annual Australian tradition you can celebrate Australia Day with a jam-packed evening of festivities and fireworks at Minnawarra Park, Armadale. Before this event even begins, Minnawarra Park is dotted with young families and groups of friends, embracing the community celebration in this hassle free carnival atmosphere. Bursting with Australian pride the City of Armadale invites you to picnic across the parks, indulge in the activities of the Backyard Bash cricket match, the Water Fun Zone and carnival amusements, and tempt your tastebuds with the variety of food stalls.
